His practice focuses on patent litigation, both before the UPC and national courts. Clients have appreciated Giovanni's legal insight and his willingness to dig into the technology at stake – be it a telecommunications standard, a chemical formula, or heavy machinery. In addition, Giovanni has worked on matters concerning trademarks, copyright, designs, unfair competition, trade secrets, domain names as well as regulatory aspects.
Giovanni combines a practical, hands-on approach with a solid academic background. In 2022, he earned an LL.M. in Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship from Cornell Law School (Cornell Tech), as a Fulbright Scholar. More recently, Giovanni completed the Ph.D. program at Bocconi University, with a dissertation concerning the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on patent law.
