Jochen has specialized experience in EU banking and financial services matters, particularly as regards the single supervisory mechanism (SSM) and the single resolution mechanism (SRM), the markets in financial instruments directive and regulation (MiFID/MiFIR), benchmark regulation (BMR) and the new EU sustainable finance framework (particularly SFDR and EU Taxonomy).
He frequently deals with EU regulators such as the German Federal Financial Services Authority (BaFin), the European Central Bank, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and the Commission de Surveillance Du Secteur Financier (CSSF) and independant expert for the Structured Securities Association (BSW, Bundesverbands für strukturierte Wertpapiere).
Jochen writes and presents regularly on financial services and capital markets matters. He is lecturer at the University of Munich on regulatory law and author in one of the leading legal commentaries on the German Securities Prospectus Act.
