Three Hogan Lovells partners named among Law360 MVPs for 2024
Washington, D.C., 21 October, 2024 – Hogan Lovells partners Jessica Ellsworth, Stacy Hadeka, and Amy Roma have been named among the Law360 MVPs for 2024. The awards highlight lawyers that have “ distinguished themselves from their peers by securing hard-earned successes in high-stakes litigation, complex global matters and record-breaking deals.”
Jessica Ellsworth was named an MVP in the Appellate category following an outstanding twelve months that included her arguing – and winning – a unanimous decision in one of the most widely-watched Supreme Court cases of the term. In that case, Jessica represented Danco Laboratories, successfully defending mifepristone’s longstanding approval by FDA for the termination of early pregnancy. Among other cases, Jessica was recognized for her work on Coinbase v Bielski, the first crypto currency case ever heard at the Supreme Court; her successful defense of Alabama voting maps, also heard at the nation’s highest court; and numerous wins for clients like Ford Motor Company and Merck whom she has represented in key appeals.
Stacy Hadeka was named an MVP in Government Contracts following a hugely successful year representing clients in disputes over the awarding of such contracts. Stacy played a major role in achieving a resounding victory for MVM, Inc. in a bid protest at the Government Accountability Office, which successfully overturned a flawed evaluation in a multi-billion dollar procurement. Additionally, Stacy played a leading role in successfully resolving several other notable contract disputes. By being named MVP, Stacy also became the second Hogan Lovells lawyer (after Antitrust, Competition, and Economic Regulation partner Justin Bernick) to complete a Law360 hat-trick, having previously been named a Rising Star and a member of a Practice Group of the Year by the publication.
Amy Roma was named an MVP in the Energy category. Amy, Hogan Lovells’ Global Energy Practice Leader, has developed an outstanding reputation as an innovator and advocate for innovation in nuclear and fusion power. This year she was recognized by Law360 for a number of projects, including her role in supporting a collection of oil and gas companies, led by Shepherd Power, an NOV company, in engaging the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to review the licensing process of microreactors to enable mass manufacturing and accelerated deployment She was also recognized for her pioneering work in helping clients develop innovation in nuclear fusion, among multiple other “first of a kind” energy projects.
