Hogan Lovells selected to advise unsecured creditors in Hello Bello chapter 11 bankruptcy case
Los Angeles, 17 November 2023 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has been selected to serve as counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the chapter 11 case filed by retail goods company Hello Bello.
Hello Bello, the trade name for Unconditional Love, Inc, was founded by, among others, the actors Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard. The company sells affordable, environmentally-friendly baby and family products, including vitamins and diapers, which it sells direct to consumers and through retail outlets.
Hello Bello filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on 23 October, citing high shipping and production costs. In a statement accompanying its chapter 11 filing, the company confirmed that it had reached an agreement in principle to be acquired by Hildred Capital Management, a healthcare-focused private equity firm that seeks opportunities to create value in middle-market companies, for a reported US$65 million.
The Hogan Lovells team advising the Committee is led by Los Angeles partners Richard Wynne and David Simonds, supported by senior associate Edward McNeilly (Los Angeles) and associate Katherine Lynn (New York).
Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones is Delaware co-counsel to the Official Committee, led by partner Laura Davis Jones and associate Edward Corma.
