Hogan Lovells advises BMW and Mercedes-Benz on the sale of "Share Now" to Stellantis
Led by Munich partner Nikolas Zirngibl, international law firm Hogan Lovells has advised YourNow Holding, the joint mobility venture of BMW Group and Mercedes-Benz Mobility, on the sale of its car sharing subsidiary "Share Now" to French-Italian car group Stellantis. The transaction is subject to approval by relevant antitrust authorities.
BMW and Mercedes-Benz had merged their two car-sharing services "Car2Go" and "DriveNow" in 2019 to form "Share Now" and expanded it to become the market leader in Europe.
Hogan Lovells previously advised Mercedes-Benz Group AG (formerly Daimler AG) on the formation of the joint venture in 2019 and now provided advice to the in-house teams of the two automotive groups on all legal aspects of the transaction during the sale of the car-sharing subsidiary.
