Hogan Lovells advises AES on the acquisition of aviationscouts
Led by Frankfurt partner Dr Christoph Naumann, global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Aerotec Europe GmbH (‘Aerotec’) on the acquisition of aviationscouts GmbH, based in Lichtenfels. The transaction involves the acquisition of aviationscouts GmbH (aviationscouts) and its subsidiary B2L GmbH & Co. KG, together with its general partner, from the founder. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
aviationscouts was founded in 1988 and is one of the leading companies in the field of reconditioned spare parts for aircraft cabin interiors. The company buys used aircraft seats, for example, which are then reupholstered and reupholstered and sold to customers such as airlines or aircraft leasing companies. B2L GmbH & Co. KG (bag to life) manufactures bags and numerous other products from used aviation products (such as life jackets). Both companies thus strive for sustainability and circular economy.
Aerotec and its subsidiary Airplane Equipment & Services A.E.S. GmbH were acquired in September 2022 by Borromin Capital Fonds IV (‘Borromin’), advised by Borromin Capital Management GmbH, with the aim of expanding the group both organically and through acquisitions. Borromin was advised by Hogan Lovells on the platform acquisition, led by Dr Christoph Naumann.
