Valentina Zhuge is a member of the Private Equity team in Sydney. She has assisted fund managers, private equity clients and multinational companies in M&A deals and other private equity transactions. 

While she has been involved in M&A transactions and investments in renewable energy, infrastructure, and technology sectors, Valentina has experience working on a wide range of corporate transactions, including joint ventures and fund secondary transactions, as well as applications for Australia’s Foreign Investment (FIRB) approval. She is also qualified in Hong Kong, and has advised listed companies in Hong Kong on takeover acquisitions,  security regulatory compliance and corporate governance matters. 

Representative experience

Advising Aware Super on its successful consortium bid for purchasing 49% equity interest in an Australian wind farm for the consideration of approximately AU$688m. 

Advising Morrison & Co on establishing a renewable energy platform for a joint venture between a NZX-listed company and Australian Superannuation Fund with initial investment of approximately AU$300m.

Advising an NYX-listed engineer and construction company on its sale of its Australian and New Zealand technical services business to a global service company. 

Advising a HKEX-listed estate developer on a takeover deal through a mandatory General Offer pursuant to the Hong Kong Takeovers Code. *

Advising Aware Super on acquiring a stake in Switch, which has 15 data centres in the United States, for approximately AU$746m.

Advising Reapit, backed by Accel-AKKR, on acquiring Inspect Real Estate, a leading software platform in Australia for rent and property management services.
