Soyoun advises clients on various topics in multijurisdictional business practice, providing guidance on aspects of U.S. regulatory, dispute, and compliance matters. She focuses her practice on government investigations and merger review involving a variety of antitrust topics, including price fixing, bid-rigging, market allocation, and vertical and horizontal agreements.
Soyoun also assists clients in their internal compliance investigations and supports clients in their intellectual property disputes in both the District Courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission.
In addition, Soyoun assists Hogan Lovells’s initiatives targeting growing markets in the Far East. She frequently acts as a liaison between Hogan Lovells and its new clients & partner organizations, actively participating in client outreach and business development.
While in law school, Soyoun served at the Missouri Attorney General’s Office as a law clerk, where she was directly involved in multidistrict litigation and government regulation cases pertaining to consumer protection. Before attending law school, Soyoun earned a Master’s degree in Communication, Culture, and Technology from Georgetown University. She is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the U.S. private sector.

Assisted LG Energy Solutions in its multi-year trade secret dispute over electric vehicle batteries before the U.S. International Trade Commission, which resulted in a US$1.8bn settlement.
Assisted a leading Korean oil refiner in defending DOJ criminal grand jury and civil antitrust investigations on alleged price-fixing conspiracies related to the U.S. government contract.
Assisted a global top 10 pharmaceutical company in its internal compliance investigations.
