As a Senior associate in the firm's market-leading Global Products Law Practice, Lookman advises clients in the consumer products, automotive, and tobacco industries.

Lookman represents international clients on a range of regulatory matters, helping them to navigate all stages of the product lifecycle.  He supports clients in balancing legal and regulatory requirements with commercial considerations, including in relation to product launch, packaging and labelling, and corrective actions.

Lookman also has experience representing international clients on a range of disputes and in managing large-scale disclosure exercises.

With extensive involvement in tobacco-related actions in the UK and Canada, Lookman has experience of complex cross-border litigation.

Lookman has spent time on secondment at the Royal Courts of Justice, acting as a judicial assistant to Sir Rupert Jackson LJ on his review of fixed recoverable costs. 

Lookman is a solicitor advocate qualified to appear at all levels of the English civil courts.

Representative experience

Advising companies on launching products in global markets including advice on risk management, product safety, product marking and labelling, and other market entry issues.

Acting for multinational companies in relation to environmental group action claims and corrective actions, including global product recalls.

Acting for an international products manufacturer on appeals against HMRC imposed penalties and claims brought by individuals and state entities in Canada.

Acting for a medical devices manufacturer in group litigation, including management of a large-scale disclosure exercise.
