This chapter, "Structured Finance in Latin America," provides an overview of the securitization markets in Latin America. It is divided between discussions of two large groupings of deal types originating from Latin America: (a) those involving cross-border future flow structures, almost always executed with international investors, and (b) those involving local assets, often with local investors. The discussion focuses on issues of concern to foreign participants in such securitizations.
