Keval has over 10 years’ experience at the Financial Ombudsman Service working with the regulator on complaints. His experience has been gained working with insurance companies, banks and cryptocurrency firms, supporting them with the development of their understanding of the regulatory rules and how to approach improvements to their complaints processes and policies in order to achieve fair customer outcomes for customers. 

Working as a FOS investigator, he has worked with firms on the approach taken to APP fraud complaints, scams, insurance claims and unaffordable lending. This has included recommending new standards to prevent fraud and scams, compiling feedback on non-compliant companies and identifying potential risk of systemic failures for FCA regulated firms. 

Keval has also worked with clients to deliver efficiency enhancements to existing quality assurance frameworks and provide critical feedback on controls. 

Representative experience

Supported a retail bank’s complaints team with understanding of regulatory rules around fraud and scams and implementation within their training to improve customer outcomes.

Supported a cryptocurrency’s compliance team with understanding UK regulatory requirements and onboarding onto the FOS jurisdiction in conjunction with the FCA rules.

Worked with a US firm in the preparation of documents to support with their E-Money authorisation activity.
