As Assistant General Counsel to the firm, Nina focuses her practice on professional responsibility and risks - with a particular emphasis on avoiding and resolving claims against the firm. Prior to joining the General Counsel team, Nina worked for over ten years in the re/insurance disputes practice in London. Her case experience includes both Commercial Court actions and International Arbitrations.
Nina speaks fluent French and Spanish and most of her work has an international element. She is a former Judicial Assistant to the Court of Appeal in England and Wales.
Representative experience
Representing a Spanish property group in litigation in England against a finance house following an alleged breach of financial obligations by the finance house.
Acting for an insurer based in Mexico in a multi million dollar coverage dispute with London Market reinsurers in the Commercial Court in London.
Providing advice to a Colombian insurer in a claim against London Market reinsurers under a Bankers Blanket Bond cover with a claims co-operation clause.
Advising a Peruvian insurer in respect of its coverage under London Market financial institutions reinsurance.
Reviewing and negotiating Financial Institutions Professional Indemnity and D&O wordings for Latin American reinsureds.
Representing a bank in a claim brought in England by a customer alleging mis-selling of Payment Protection Insurance.
