Washington, D.C., 19 September 2024 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is proud to announce that partner Cybil Roehrenbeck has been honored with the Judicial Advocacy Initiative Award from the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), recognizing her outstanding dedication to advancing cancer advocacy.

This prestigious award was presented during a breakfast event on 18 September in Washington, D.C., hosted by ACS CAN President Lisa Lacasse before over 700 cancer patients and survivors from across the U.S. The award honors attorneys who demonstrate exceptional commitment to cancer advocacy through pro bono service and impactful leadership.

Roehrenbeck, a member of the firm’s Government Relations and Public Affairs practice, has dedicated over seven years to this cause, utilizing her extensive advocacy expertise to assist ACS CAN and its partners in the Patient Quality of Life Coalition (PQLC), which aims to improve access to palliative care for individuals with serious illnesses.

Since 2017, Cybil has skillfully led a coalition of over 40 member organizations in formulating responses to Medicare payment proposals, ensuring vital services like telehealth and patient navigation remain accessible to those in need.
