Hogan Lovells obtains Gender Equality Certification in Italy

Press releases | 18 December 2024

18 December 2024 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that it has achieved the UNI/PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification, the only national standard on this important subject, granted by the Certifying Body Bureau Veritas. This certification follows a long and interesting verification process assessing qualitative and quantitative key indicators. The evaluation included interviews with employees and professionals across six key areas: culture and strategy, governance, HR processes, opportunities for growth and inclusion of women in the company, gender pay equity, parental protection, and work-life balance.

The certifying body conducted the verification activities involving both of the firm's Italian offices, both in person and remotely. At the conclusion of the evaluation, the Firm was certified with a score exceeding 90%.

Andrea Atteritano, partner, Diversity Champion for Italy, said: "We chose to undertake this certification process to assess the resilience of our DE&I policy, understand how effectively we can implement it in our daily work life, and identify—through discussions with an authoritative and independent third party—what new frontiers await us and where we can continue to improve. These past months have been filled with intense work, and I would like to thank our focus team for their dedication in achieving this result, as well as our DE&I committee, which drives all our initiatives. Collaborating with our diverse team allows us to take new steps forward."
