Hogan Lovells included among India Business Law Journal's key players
Global law firm Hogan Lovells has once again been recognised as one of the leading law firms considered to be “key players” for India-related deals by the India Business Law Journal (IBLJ).
Research conducted for the journal analysed more than 600 law firms from every continent that had documented transactions and disputes with an Indian angle over the past 12 months. The results were compiled according to extensive consultation with corporate counsel and Indian law firms.
Specific consideration was given to the “whirlwind past 12 months” which saw “Hogan Lovells’ India team execute dozens of capital markets deals, close corporate transactions, and handle litigation, labour and employment matters, and banking mandates.”
Securing a spot as a “key player” in IBLJ’s ranking relied upon demonstrating a dynamic and blossoming practice, as well as client testimonies highlighting the strength of expertise on offer.
The ranking makes particular mention of the firm’s work in the following cases:
- Counsel to bookrunning lead managers on the USD77 million reg S/rule 144A IPO by Keystone Realtors; the INR8.8 billion reg S/rule 144A IPO by Bikaji Foods International; and the
- INR8.36 billion reg S IPO by Uniparts India;
- Representing PhonePe on its separation from Flipkart in India; and
- Representing Motherson Group on its acquisition of SAS Group from Faurecia.
“It’s a privilege to be named once more as being among the top 15 key players in the Indian market. We have been advising clients across the region for more than 20 years and have built a solid foundation of expertise that covers the breadth of the sector and enables us to provide clients with an exceptional level of support for their business needs,” commented Stephanie Keen and Biswajit Chatterjee, co-heads of the firm’s India practice.
