Mansfield Certification Plus, established by Diversity Lab, aims to ensure fair and equal opportunity for all lawyers to advance into leadership. Mansfield aims to broaden the pool of women lawyers, LGBTQ+ lawyers, lawyers with disabilities, and lawyers from underrepresented racial or ethnic backgrounds who are considered for senior lateral lawyer job openings, firm governance opportunities, equity partner promotions, and firm leadership positions.
To receive Mansfield Certification Plus, the firm submitted measurement, transparency, and accountability mechanisms and metrics demonstrating how it increases clarity and transparency around opportunities, helping to create a level playing field for all. The Certification Plus indicates that, in addition to meeting or exceeding the baseline requirements, the firm has successfully achieved at least 30% underrepresented lawyer representation in current leadership roles.
