Hogan Lovells Announces Melissa Ordonez's Appointment to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR
London, Paris, 29 July 2024 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce the appointment of partner Melissa Ordonez as a Delegate to the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Commission on Arbitration and ADR. Her term will run from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2027.
Melissa joins a distinguished group of over 1400 Delegates from more than 100 countries, including lawyers, arbitrators, mediators, in-house counsel, corporate representatives, and academics, all experts in international dispute resolution.
The ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR fosters thought leadership in the field by producing reports, recommendations, and guidance on arbitration and ADR issues through specific Task Forces or Working Groups. It also contributes to proposed modifications of ICC Dispute Resolution Services (ICC DRS) rules.
As a Delegate, Melissa will actively contribute to the Commission's work. She will be part of a team led by Commission Chair Melanie van Leeuwen, supported by 18 Vice-Chairs, the Commission Secretary, and other ICC DRS Members, who define strategic objectives and guide the Task Forces and Working Groups.

Melissa is a partner in Hogan Lovells' International Arbitration group, focusing on commercial and investment treaty arbitration. With a multicultural background and experience living in France, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the UK, she handles complex arbitrations involving various regions. She is known for her strategic skills and extensive experience under ICC, LCIA, ICSID, and UNCITRAL rules, representing diverse companies and states.
Melissa has particular experience representing clients in the energy, technology and luxury sectors as well as in international investment disputes. She is also a member of the firm's Latin American practice with substantial experience in international arbitration in the region.
