Hogan Lovells advises Ecuadorian bank on US$175 million DPR program transaction

New York, 2 October 2024 - Global law firm Hogan Lovells and Ecuadorian firm Bustamante Fabara, advised Banco Guayaquil S.A. on two new series under its diversified payment rights (DPR) securitization program.

Series 2024-1 closed on 5 September and was structured in the form of Global Notes in the amount of US$125 million, and Series 2024-2 closed a week later on 9 September, in the form of a US$50 million loan. Both were issued by Guayaquil DPR Limited, the program’s special purpose vehicle.

The Hogan Lovells deal team was led by partner Emil Arca (Capital Markets, New York), senior associates Lauren Kimmel and Juan D. Moreno (both Capital Markets, New York), and associate Ann Du (Securities & Public Company Advisory, New York).

Hogan Lovells has advised Banco Guayaquil on all four future flow securitization series sponsored by the bank to date, three of them under bank’s DPR program and one under their credit card merchant voucher program.
