Max is a lawyer and economist advising on financial regulatory law. He covers banking, investment firm and payment services law for organizations, products and transactions. Max particularly focuses on digital finance projects (including DORA, DLT and crypto assets) and investment firms.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Max worked at the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) in securities supervision and digital finance. While at BaFin, he contributed to national and international legislative and other standard setting processes, supervisory policy and the supervision of crypto/DLT-based business models. Before his time at BaFin, Max was a lawyer in the financial regulatory practice of another international law firm.
