"Strong projects and infrastructure team covering all stages of plant construction projects, from service contracts and financing to post-construction litigation. Works closely with the firm's arbitration, energy and IP groups."

Chambers Europe, 2015

Ingrid Andres is the interface lawyer for litigation and corporate law, especially in the sectors infrastructure and energy. Described as assertive and tenacious by opposing parties, she is the type of lawyer who you would want on your side and even former opponents mandate.

Ingrid started her career in litigation and corporate law. In her very first case, she represented a corporation after a merger between two public limited companies. She gained vast experience in "classical" corporate law (especially IPOs, shareholder meetings, transactions and compliance) and the representation of interests in disputes (arbitration and litigation, especially post M&A disputes and disputes amongst shareholders/company).

Ingrid concentrates on defending class actions and coordinating defence strategies. She advises energy suppliers on corporate law issues and disputes as well as on the implementation of compliance and risk management systems.

Between her first and second state exam, Ingrid worked as a research assistant under Prof. Dr. Hans-Peter Benöhr at the Institute of Private and Roman Law where she wrote her Ph.D. about the origin of German inheritance law. Ingrid is co-author of the Frankfurt manual on the issue of new laws of obligations and the manual of corporate litigation and she regularly writes about current topics, e.g. regarding the presumption of a causal connection in investment law and the limits of a DAB decision under FIDIC.
