Joseph B. Giminaro has handled complex real estate tax matters for property owners, managers and developers in New York City for more than 30 years. Joe manages major real estate tax cases before the New York City Tax Commission.
Joe’s experience working as chief real estate tax counsel to the NYC Department of Finance has provided him deep insights into the City’s assessment appeal process and preparation of tax projections.
Joe has negotiated multimillion-dollar assessment reductions for a wide range of properties, including major office and retail buildings, residential co-ops/condos, hotels and shopping centers.
Joe serves as President and member of the Board of Trustees to the Real Estate Tax Review Bar Association.
