Richard Fried concentrates in structured finance, securities, commodity financing, and general corporate matters. He has extensive experience with the securitization of mortgage loans, home equity loans, FHA loans, SBA and other commercial loans, student loans, auto receivables, and trade receivables. He was actively involved in the securitization regulations enacted by the U.S. Small Business Administration and has served as transaction counsel in many SBA loan securitizations since the first offering in 1992.
Richard advises issuers, underwriters, and agents involved in all types of structured finance transactions. He represents registered and non-registered domestic and foreign investment advisers as well as sponsors and advisors of offshore funds investing in mortgage and other asset-backed securities. Richard also represents commodity trading firms as borrowers under syndicated loan facilities.
