Join Hogan Lovells partners David Simonds as conference co-chair, Matthew Schernecke as panel moderator, and Mehtap Cevher Conti as panelist, and Hogan Lovells counsel Sukhvir Basran as panelist at the ACIC’s Fall Annual Meeting and Education Conference on 20-21 October at the Boston Marriott Long Wharf.
Matthew Schernecke will moderate a panel titled “Anatomy of ‘liability management’ transactions/creditor-on-creditor violence” on 20 October at 1:15 p.m. ET. The panel will provide an overview of the recent trends in liability management transactions and cases and their implications for insurance companies and their investors, including an analysis of the ACIC’s model form note purchase agreement in the context of these transactions.
Sukhvir Basran will serve as a panelist on a panel titled “ESG” on 21 October at 9:45 a.m. ET. This panel will provide an ESG market update, highlighting the types of deals, their relative pricing and volume, and take a deeper dive into ESG related bonds, including Green Bonds, focusing on the various risks associated with them and the evolving roles of various stakeholders.
Mehtap Cevher Conti will serve as a panelist on a panel titled “Aircraft financings” on 21 October at 11:00 a.m. ET. This panel will (i) review aviation financing structures and highlight changes and new products that have been implemented, (ii) review perfection, international registry and Cape Town election issues, (iii) provide an update on the state of the aviation market as it relates to airlines and lessors, and (iv) provide case studies of certain recent restructurings in the aviation space and how they handled some of these issues.
