Billy Clinton focuses his practice on transactional tax matters inherent in mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity offerings, and fund formation.
Billy’s experience includes advising clients on the tax aspects of commercial transactions across a variety of industries, including health care, gaming and leisure, commercial real estate, private equity, hospitality, and transportation. He also has experience advising REITs on formation, capital markets, strategic transactions, and operational matters.
Prior to law school, Billy worked as a business analyst at a technology startup and as a data analytics consultant.

Public Storage on a variety of debt and equity capital markets offerings.
Co-counsel to QTS Realty Trust on its sale to Blackstone for US$10bn.
Melody Capital Partners on its US$1.625bn sale of Melody Wireless Infrastructure, a private U.S. REIT to Sculptor Real Estate and Diamond Communications in a leveraged buyout transaction.
Tax counsel to VICI Properties on its US$4bn acquisition of the Venetian Resort Las Vegas and the Sands Expo and Convention Center from the Las Vegas Sands Corp. for US$4bn.
