He has developed a wide-ranging knowledge of the TMT industry and is involved in internet service provider liability, platforms, freedom of expression, data protection, and online copyright. In particular, he focuses on litigation before courts and regulatory authorities in relation to ISP liability and data protection. Moreover, he assists multinational technology companies in launching new products and services, ensuring regulatory compliance and guiding them through complex legal landscapes.
Giacomo graduated in law from the University of Genoa in 2017. He later obtained an LL.M. in Law of Internet Technology from Bocconi University. Before joining Hogan Lovells, Giacomo worked for two years in a law firm specialising in commercial law, one year at the European Patent Office in Munich as legal advisor to the Chief Technology Officer and one year as legal trainee in one of the world's largest technology companies.
Giacomo is fluent in Italian and English and has an intermediate knowledge of Spanish.
