Jacky Scanlan-Dyas is a leading M&A lawyer with over 20 years of cross-border transaction experience including M&A, investments, exits, joint ventures, complex commercial contracts, and restructuring and insolvency issues. Jacky serves as the Head of the firm’s Corporate & Finance Practice Group for the Asia Pacific region and the Co-Global Lead for the Manufacturing and Industrials sector. She is also a member of the firm’s global M&A leadership committee.
Jacky is consistently recognized as one of the top M&A practitioners in the Japan market and has received numerous accolades for her role in launching the firm’s Japan M&A team, which has now been ranked Tier 1 by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific for multiple years consecutively. She has received both the “Woman’s Advocate of the Year” award at the Asian Legal Business Women in Law Awards as well as the “Woman Lawyer of the Year” award at the Asian Legal Business Japan Law Awards. She has also been presented with the "Person of the Year" award by the British Ambassador on behalf of the British Chamber of Commerce in Japan. Advising Nissan on the strategic and legal aspects of the restructuring of its shareholdings and operations in multiple Indian joint ventures, as part of a global re-organisation of the alliance between Nissan and Renault.
Advising Virbac on its agreement with ORIX Corporation for the €280 million acquisition of its Japanese animal health subsidiary Sasaeah Holdings Co., Ltd.
Advising Sojitz Corporation on its acquisition of Silaba Motors, S.A., marking Sojitz's entry into the Central and South American market.
Advising Samvardhana Motherson International Limited on its purchase of an 81% stake in Yachiyo Industry Co., Ltd., a TSE-listed subsidiary of Honda Motors Co., Ltd.
