SAMR's triple guidance on antitrust enforcement

On 1 July 2019 China's antitrust agency, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), made public three sets of regulations to implement the Anti-Monopoly Law (AML).

The three regulations attempt to provide guidance on SAMR's approach towards three types of anti-competitive conduct: anti-competitive agreements; abuse of a dominant market position; and abuse of administrative rights to restrict competition (administrative monopoly).
