Hogan Lovells helps Guatemala launch groundbreaking 30-year bond

New York, 3 June 2019 – A team of lawyers from Hogan Lovells represented Citigroup as Global Coordinator and Sole Book Running Manager in the successful sale of US$1.2 billion in bonds issued by Central American nation Guatemala.

The two-part deal included US$700 million 6.25% 30-year notes. This issuance is notable because it is the first time Guatemala has issued debt with such a long redemption date. The sale closed on Friday, 31 May.
