Clients work with Nikki to shape or secure legislation, inform its drafting, and limit unintended consequences. Combining her legislative experience with a career working with major national and international companies in highly regulated sectors, Nikki helps clients to engage early and effectively when policy is being developed and legislation is on the horizon. Equally, once legislation enters Parliament, no-one is better placed to help businesses engage with the legislative process, raise the profile of an issue and encourage movement from Government. With legislation likely to sit on the statute books for decades, early and ongoing engagement can avoid considerable prolonged pain for the business later.
Nikki also served as a Policy Fellow to the Minister for Women and Equalities in the UK Government's Equality Hub, and led a cross-Government taskforce considering the impact of government policy on women and how to increase women's role in politics, business and society. Nikki has twice been named one of the top 100 Women in Westminster and in 2019 she was recognised as the Most Inspirational Woman in Public Affairs. She is a well-known commentator on policy and legislative issues and has regularly appeared on Radio 4’s Today Programme, BBC News, Channel 4 and Sky.
