WASHINGTON, D.C., 24 October 2016 – Hogan Lovells was recognized with three outstanding pro bono awards for its legal representation and extensive law and policy revision work with Pro Bono Partnership, Sanctuary for Families, and the Capital Area Immigrants’ Rights (CAIR) Coalition.

The firm was honored with the Champion Award from Pro Bono Partnership, recognizing organizations that demonstrate a deep commitment and strong passion for pro bono legal services. Hogan Lovells was awarded for their overall commitment to strengthening nonprofits in New York through their work on the nonprofit bylaws and governance policies. They’ve also assisted various nonprofit organizations, including those that support immigrants, the elderly, survivors of domestic violence, and several others.

Hogan Lovells also received the Above & Beyond Award from Sanctuary for Families, which acknowledges organizations for their pro bono representation and advocacy to victims of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and related forms of gender violence. The firm successfully represented a female victim of domestic violence in an international child custody dispute.

The firm was also selected for the Law Firm of the Year Award from the CAIR Coalition. This organization strives to ensure equal justice for all immigrant men, women, and children at risk of detention and deportation in the DC metropolitan area and beyond. Hogan Lovells partnered with CAIR for their Empowering Girls and Women Initiative to combat gender-based violence, promote girls’ education, and support women in business. The firm received the Law Firm of the Year Award for its work on numerous pro bono cases from the CAIR Coalition’s Detained Adult and Detained Children’s Programs, including the representation of a 17-year-old Guatemalan immigrant mother.

The firm was officially recognized and awarded at various events hosted by the organizations throughout October.
