President Trump - The Impact on Financial Services Regulation and Policy

15 November 20165:30 PM - 8:30 PM (GMT)

Trump claims victory and the Republican Party maintains its majorities in the House of Representatives (the lower house) and the Senate (the upper house), giving it a clean sweep of the executive and legislature. Markets have immediately reacted and it is clear that the election result will impact the regulatory landscape, not only in the U.S, but in Europe too.

What does President Trump mean for financial services and what impact will this result have on policy and regulation in the U.S, as well as the knock on effects this may have on the UK and global financial markets.

Aaron Cutler and Richard Schaberg, both Partners in the Washington D.C. office, joined us in London for a discussion on the impact of the election result on the regulatory environment for financial institutions not only in the U.S., but also in the UK and Europe.

The slides from this event can be downloaded here.

You can watch a recording of the discussion here.
