Pro Bono

In recognition of his pro bono work over the years, Juan Francisco Torres Landa was awarded the Acknowledgement for Track Record in Pro Bono Award by the Appleseed Foundation Mexico.

Juan Francisco was recognized for his pro bono activities that have high social impact, such as his active participation as Secretary of Mexico Unido contra la Delincuencia organization (Mexico United against Crime), which is responsible for attending to more than 9,000 victims of crimes such as kidnapping, rape, murder, and human trafficking.

He has also participated with the Centro Mexicano de Derecho Ambiental, which works for the defense of the environment and natural resources in Mexico, and with Unidos por el arte contra el Cancer Infantile, which helps fight children’s cancer.

The award also highlights Juan Francisco’s exemplary work in coordinating and leading by uniting the talent of prominent lawyers, thereby linking civil society with authorities who favor security and crime prevention programs and the pursuit of justice.
