UK and Africa

More than two-and-a-half years after the Ebola outbreak in West Africa began, Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders has closed its final projects dedicated to caring for people who survived the disease.

Ebola infected more than 28,700 people in the region and killed more than 11,300 men, women, and children.

Through our global disaster relief partnership with Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors without Borders, we donated US$41,000 to support the relief efforts. MSF was at the forefront of treating Ebola-stricken patients and at its height saw 3,900 staff operating six specially constructed case management centers in three countries.
