Teaming up to give back

We recently teamed up with UnitedHealth Group (UHG) to volunteer for a Habitat for Humanity project in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Rich Mattera, executive vice president and chief legal officer for Optum (a division of UHG) and a former Hogan Lovells lawyer, serves on the board of directors of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. This was an excellent opportunity to connect with our client outside of the office and support a cause that's important to them. It also gave us a chance to serve one of the communities Hogan Lovells calls home.

Lawyers from Denver and Minneapolis who are part of the UHG client team were joined by members of the UHG and Optum legal departments for the day-long home-building project. The group rolled up their sleeves to tackle a variety of tasks, including constructing a front porch for the home, putting up drywall, and roofing the garage.

Partners Tim Aragon and Peter Walsh, counsel Matt Eisler, senior associates Sandra Harris and Ryan Adrian, and associate Katy Raffensperger took part in this worthwhile activity.
